Raimond Castaing Prize

The “Raimond Castaing” prize will be awarded during the Gala dinner of the conference. It is awarded every two years to two scientists in life sciences (SDV) or material sciences (SDM).

This prize, amounting to 2500 euros, rewards experienced researchers, conducting their research in France, having made a remarkable contribution to microscopy, and having not received a more prestigious prize (Prix de l’EMS, Prix E. Ruska, CNRS Silver Medal, …).

It rewards a significant contribution to microscopy, in instrumentation or theory of the instrument (innovation, remarkable development, theoretical contribution, data processing, etc.) or in the innovative use of an instrument in SDV or SDM to highlight an effect, a property or a transformation.
